Getting back to work


Good day to all, this is the NG+ team speaking! 

We started working on this game in 2018 and did so for half a year - until the summer of 2019. It was an action packed time for us - we were working through different ideas, presenting our game to interested people and finding out what would make JICE more fun.

When we first put our game on itch.io, we had no idea how much attention it would get. Yet here it is - 6 000 downloads, lots of positive and constructive feedback, and still going! We want to thank you all for giving our game a chance, as it is you that motivated us to keep making this project.

In fact, that is a part of the reason we decided it’s time to get back to work on the JICE! We had a lot of time to think this through and already have some plans on what to do next. Here are the most important of them:

  • Polishing what we already have - that includes character control and movement;
  • Adding new stuff - this includes several new levels (with a high chance of a boss fight), new enemies and level mechanics;
  • Thinking through the lore of JICE - possibly adding some flavour characters and interactions.

That said, our team is down to three people - with no artist among them. That is why we are also looking for a new team member - 3D modeller, who likes what we do and would like to enrich the world of JICE with some new candies and robots. As this is a side project for us, we don’t have any way to pay you for now, so that is something to keep in mind.
